Dinner Table Issues
Should a husband be able to do these things?
My husband is 33 and he spends all his free time away from his job (he works a lot) doing things like watching sportscenter and drinking beer. He thinks reading Maxim is entertaining. But shouldn't he be able to discuss issues in the news or else interesting topics? Maybe the arts or at least something cultural? I feel like when we are at the dinner table all he wants to do is eat and maybe talk about our days. But I feel like we should aspire to higher things and really work to deepen ourselves. How do I get him to see that he is wasting his life? Why does he enjoy sports and video games and boob pictures rather than important things?
Well, gee, because (to him), those things are important. He likes those things and finds them interesting and stimulating.
To get him to change ? You can't - not unless he wants to.
