Thinking about going back.. Help?
Back in March 2005 I enlisted in the Army as Infantry (11B). 2 months into OSUT, my battle buddy broke my wrist during GFT. After a 30 day con leave, I returned to my original unit and was told I wasn't healed enough to recycle, so I was sent back to 30th AG to a special unit called PTRP (Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit). I spent 5 months there due to the 1LT therapist saying I wasn't healed yet. My drill sgts, 1SG and CO all thought I was just s**t-bagging and wanted out, so they tried to medboard me. I declined and told them I wanted to return after I was healed, and asked them to chapter me out and my request was granted. I received an Honorable discharge with veteran status with 8 months served. A few months later I wound up meeting a girl, and here we are, 3 years later..married. She has a great job and cannot relocate, I still want to go back to this day. I refuse to accept another MOS. Anyone have any advice, opinions, ideas, etc. I just feel it's unfinished chapter..
You are married now think about it first. How does she feel about it? What you decide will have an effect her also. It is tough being an army wife ask any woman who is! Good Luck and may God Bless You and Her, whatever your decision!
