Lot Issues
I really have a lot of emotional issues and I don't know how to control them?
It's really causing a lot of problems for me and my boyfriend. I dont have many friends that I can talk to either. What can I do that can help me either not get upset in the first place over stupid things or once i do get upset realize it's stupid and I don't need to worry.
what are some activities that relieve a lot of stress as well?
It appears to me that you have everything you need. It seems to me that you are more interested in "the fight" than you are getting things done.
You do have to realize that the world does not revolve around your emotions; no matter how strongly you feel them. I know only slightly more about you than I know about your bf. This could turn out to be long.
First off- they are YOUR emotional issues - not his. Your anger is just that - your anger. Don't try to drag him into it. Is it really worth all the dramatics because he forgot to put the toilet seat down? Does the laundry have to be folded "just right?" I'm not trying to say that these are the problems - but resentment can be a relationship-killer.
You CAN control your emotional issues, sometimes a person needs to take a step back, and get a perspective on things. Just because you feel strongly about things, does not mean that everyone around has to hear about it. There is a thing called "talk" If you feel thathe is not listening, or doesn't care; DUMP HIM.
There's only one way you can use to not get upset in the first place - keep a perspective. Just how important is it in the first place? If he goes to have a pee in the middle of a movie, and has to pause the DVD, just how important is that? OK so he leaves the toilet seat up; is there a need for histrionics?
You can ALWAYS control your reactions to emotions. You will always have things that piss you off, But it is entirely up to you how you respond to them.
