In the X-men Comics - why is Bishop so worried about the Mutant Messiah?
There seems to be a big mistake at the moment - namely that Bishop seems to be forgetting that his time line ceased to exist when he stopped Onslaught killing the X-Men. Or am I missing something?
If he was worried about muatnts going extinct why be so intent on murdering the only new mutant born?
first thing Marvel has terrible way of handling future timelines. Cables future existed for a very long time in comics even with all the changes he made. Sometimes the future timelines stay, Sometimes they are erased right away, and sometimes it takes a very long time but the timeline goes away. This is just something sadly that must be accepted.
The problem with Bishop becoming bad has sparked alot of outrage from people. To many it just doesnt make sense. Marvel tried to justify it but they havent done a good job about it. I have no problems heroes becoming villains... But with Someone like Bishop who has become so close to the x-men to all of a sudden turn on them and starts spilling blood. It doesnt make sense. You bring up a good point why would bishop be so worried about a future that will not happen now. His timeline could still exist but the present timeline will not evolve into his because of Bishop saving the X-Men.
Sadly any facts you mention or anyone else about Bishop will just not matter. Even though it makes no sense bishop is a badguy now it seems thats just what its going to be now.
Marvel has a mini out now called X-MEN: THE TIMES AND LIFE OF LUCAS BISHOP
But so far its a terrible mini & hasnt even come close to showing why Bishop would turn on his friends like he did.
And sadly dont look over at the Cable series to look for answers... All we see is a Evil Bishop chasing Cable throughout time. And thats about it. I wish i could give you the answers to why Bishop turned on his friends... But hey i doubt Marvel will ever do a good job explaining that one
