Why is it that adults are charged more than children at?
entertainment venues?
eg. the movies. We both watch the same movie and take up one seat.
concerts: we're both watching the same band and again, taking up one seat.
swimming pool: same water and if anything, the kids are in there longer than adults.
I just wonder why there isn't just one cover price for all?
Because at those types of places it is usually one or two adults, and they bring all their kids. There are less adults there, so they are charged more, and they bring a lot of children. So, in the end, they make more money charging less for children. Would you take your kids to the movie, pool, or concerts with you if you had to pay full admissions? Certainly not as often.
